Terms of Service

Fire Horizon is a portfolio tracker and retirement-planning tool for the FIRE community. You log or link your investment accounts, set your plan assumptions, and the app projects your net worth forward to estimate when you could retire — along with related analytics like dividend income, milestones, readiness checks, and Monte Carlo simulations.

Fire Horizon provides calculations, not recommendations. Every projection, horizon date, success rate, and readiness verdict is an estimate produced from the assumptions you enter, using models with documented limits. Nothing in the app is investment, tax, or legal advice; markets will not follow a projection. Make financial decisions with a qualified professional, not with a chart.

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter, for keeping your credentials safe, and for everything done under your account. Keep a working email address on file — it’s how we verify your account and reach you about it. Accounts are for individuals; you must be at least 18 (or the age of majority where you live) to use the service. If you believe your account has been compromised, change your password in Settings or contact us.

Paid plans are billed through Stripe on a monthly or annual cycle. You can switch plans or cancel anytime through the billing portal in Settings → Plan & billing; cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period. When a plan lapses or you downgrade, anything over your new plan’s limits becomes read-only — your data is never deleted for downgrading. Prices may change; we’ll notify you before a change affects your subscription.

Don’t misuse the service. That includes attempting to access other users’ data, probing or disrupting our systems, scraping or reselling the app’s market data, automating abusive request volumes, uploading malicious content, or using Fire Horizon for anything unlawful. We may suspend or terminate accounts that do.

The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. Market data comes from third-party feeds and may be delayed, incomplete, or wrong. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Fire Horizon is not liable for investment outcomes, lost profits, or indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

We may update these terms as the product evolves. For material changes we’ll give notice — by email or in the app — before they take effect. Continuing to use Fire Horizon after a change means you accept the updated terms.
